Replace the included Carbon Foam (every month). If you’re using the optional Ammonia, Phosphate & Nitrite Remover Pads, they should be replaced every month as well. For your Monthly maintenance you should also: Clean and lubricate the included Motor Seal Ring (with the included Inland Seas Super Lube Silicone Lube); Check and clean the impeller and intake Stem/Strainer; Check and clean the ribbed hosing; and Rinse the Bio-Foam & BioMax in tank water.
