Unfortunately, the customer doesn’t realize that they could be out digging up and replacing this wire after a year or two, when it degrades to the point of failure. Odd as it is, the American Wire Gauge (AWG) measurements are backward, in that -The higher the gauge, the thinner the wire. IE: 20 gauge wire is much thinner than 16 gauge wire. This listing is for 16 gauge wire, which will provide you at least twice the lifetime of the 20 gauge packaged wire. Our 16 gauge wire is also coated in a rugged polyethylene jacket, which is not only lighter than PVC, but also outperforms it in extreme temperatures, moisture resistance, abrasion resistance, and many other areas.
