Uses Interceptor contains milbemycin as the active ingredient. Interceptor is indicated for use in the prevention of heartworm disease, control of adult hookworms, and removes and controls adult roundworm and whipworm infections in dogs and puppies. Interceptor can be used in puppies of four weeks of age or older and two pounds of body weight or greater. Interceptor for cats is indicated for prevention against heartworm disease, and removes adult roundworms and adult hookworms. Cautions Interceptor is contraindicated in animals with a history of an allergic reaction to milbemycin. Keep out of reach of children. How to use Interceptor is to be administered orally to your dogs or cats once a month. Administer this medication to your pet as directed by the veterinarian and follow the instructions on manufacturer’s packaging. Possible side effects Lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite, weakness, diarrhea are some of the possible side effects. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your veterinarian promptly.
