Uses Rimadyl Chew Tablets is a veterinary use only medication that contains carprofen as the active ingredient. This medication is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory used to treat pain and inflammation due to arthritis and other joint disease, including hip dysplasia. Caprofen is often given to dogs for postoperative pain and inflammation. Rimadyl works by reducing the enzyme COX-2 that cause pain and inflammation in the body. Cautions Rimadyl Chew Tablets is contraindicated for use in dogs that exhibit hypersensitivity to carprofen. Keep out of reach of children. How to use For oral use in dogs only. Administer this medication to the dog as directed by the veterinarian and follow the instructions on manufacturer’s packaging.
